Description
Geographical Information Systems – Part 1 is published by Coursera Academy. This course is organized into two parts that provide the theoretical and practical foundations of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The courses are designed as an introduction to GIS and do not require any prior knowledge. By completing this introduction, you will quickly gain the foundational knowledge needed to create spatial databases and produce high-quality maps and cartographic displays. This is a hands-on course based on free and open source software, including QGIS.
